Corey's Cancer Fund
Five-year-old Chow mix Corey was abandoned at the Humane Society of Pinellas in February, 2017. Upon tracing his history, it was discovered he was on the euthanasia list at another shelter and he was heartworm positive. Corey also had an unusual gait and persistent urethral bleeding. After many diagnostics, it was discovered that Corey also has a rare form of cancer.
Since arriving here, Corey has touched our lives deeply. He has proven to be sweet, loving, and most of all, incredibly brave. He has remained calm through every procedure and is always offering gentle kisses and a warm snuggle. Despite the pain he is in, he jumps for joy when he sees his favorite staff when visiting the shelter for his exams and medications.
Corey’s cancer is treatable and fortunately, the staff at HSP will do everything in our power to treat him - but each injection is $200 and Corey will need upwards of eight injections, as well as care from a specialist. Our goal is to raise $2,000 for Corey - can you help?
Donate today to assist us in financing Corey's treatment. Corey will continue to heal in a foster home and receive weekly injections until his tumor is eradicated, and then Corey will be searching for his forever home.
Upon making your donation, indicate Corey's Cancer Fund in the restricted donation notes. Checks can also be mailed to the Humane Society of Pinellas at 3040 SR 590, Clearwater, FL 33759 ATTN: Corey's Cancer Fund.
