Our Mission

To prevent animal homelessness in our community and provide care and assistance to animals in need.

The Humane Society of Pinellas is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has been caring for animals and our community since 1949. Not just an adoption agency, the Humane Society of Pinellas provides life-saving care and services to help keep pets and people together.

The Humane Society of Pinellas is dedicated to providing individualized care for every animal that comes our way and we ensure that every treatable animal is treated. This means we have made a promise to our community that no animal will be euthanized for a treatable condition.

We hope you join us in helping Pinellas County move towards being a no-kill community where every treatable animal is given a second chance.

We are a unified team that is passionate, respectful, and responsible for the pets and people in our shelter and community. We embrace positive change to support our no-kill policy and reduce euthanasia in our community.

The Humane Society of Pinellas received three stars from Charity Navigator. This means that HSP is transparent in our operations, we respect donor privacy, and that everything we do supports our mission to end pet homelessness in Pinellas County.

As an independent 501c3 non-profit organization, we receive no government funding and everything we do is only possible with the support of our generous donors. Whether you want to sponsor a specific program, or make a general donation, all contributions are greatly appreciated and help us move one step closer towards Pinellas County being a no-kill community.
